About

What are we about?   Well, we could tell you about how Michael has photographed just about everything under the sun.   We could tell you about experience: the kind of experience that prepares one for any situation.   We’ve had everything from (and including) the bathroom sink to beautiful women to the latest high-tech gadget, to the most luxurious of automobiles in this studio.  We’ve cleaned up after elephants and cows, petted lions, and primped princesses.  We’ve built sets in this studio that looked as if they were on another planet, and we’ve been to locations that could kill the unprepared.   We’ve been on four different continents – cheerfully waiting for the morning light in icy snow or the sun to set in 120 degree heat in the bone-dry desert, and we’ve fluffed ferns in a rain forrest and dodged bombs on the streets (of Universal Studios ;-] ).  We could tell you how Michael traveled from Tennessee to Los Angeles in a VW bug with nothing but a camera, a few clothes, and a dream.   How he started out shooting shoes for Broadway Department Stores.  How he grew this business through a combination of raw talent, brain power, and sheer determination combined with seriously hard work and long days, eventually building a beautiful, custom designed, 15,000 sq foot studio.   Or we could tell you about all of his Belding Bowls, One Show Awards, etc.  Yes, we’ve been there/got the t-shirts.

But Michael wouldn’t want us to tell you about all of that.  Because what we’re really all about is you.  Our goal is to make your job easier and more enjoyable. When you work on a project with us you will leave with good memories as well as spectacular images.  

Sure we’ve got a stack of Beldings, but we don’t rest on our laurels; awards are nice, but that’s not what we are about.  We’re about staying fresh, working hard but smart, and about having fun doing the work – we are passionate about what we do here at Michael Ruppert Studios.  We’re always eager to produce something new, something different.  Passion, attention to detail, being of service, people — that’s what we’re about. 

Bring us your frog and we’ll make it look beautiful.  Bring us your problem and we’ll solve it.  Because what are we about?  Making you look good, that’s what.
